Hurricane Matthew

With millions potentially impacted by Hurricane Matthew along the Southeastern U.S. coastline and traffic building along evacuation routes, Mogean is monitoring the evacuation progress.

Mogean’s CEO Matt Reilly decided to undertake this effort as a public service in the hopes of providing those affected by the storm with useful information after his sister’s family was evacuated from the Hilton Head, SC, area.

Powered by proprietary and patent-pending data collection combined with advanced data science techniques, Mogean is analyzing resident movements in and away from areas under the hurricane warning or mandatory evacuation to validate if they have moved to a safe area away from the storm’s path or whether they are still in danger.

From this data, Mogean can identify the counties that have the highest percentage of the population that have complied with the government’s evacuation order and those areas where the evacuation response has been lowest.  Mogean will periodically update the impacted community on its website as the situation develops.
